  • There are two main types of brain cancer. Primary brain cancer starts in the brain. Metastatic brain cancer starts somewhere else in the body and moves to the brain. Brain tumors can be benign, with no cancer cells, or malignant, with cancer cells that grow quickly.

    Treatment options include:

    • Surgery
    • Radiation therapy (including Cyberknife®)
    • Chemotherapy
    • Or a combination of treatments

    The treatment plan for an individual patient depends on a number of factors, including the exact type and location of the tumor, the stage of the cancer, and the person's age and general health.
