  • The Breast Oncology program is our oldest and busiest multidisciplinary program. A team comprised of surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, genetics professionals, care navigators, clinical trial specialists, and other support staff meets on a weekly basis to discuss management of new breast cancer or high risk breast referrals.

    In the first quarter of 2012, here is the average amount of time it took for breast cancer patients to receive treatment:breastWeb.jpg

    • Time from a screening Mammogram to initial appointment  - 11 days
    • Time from initial diagnosis to a biopsy - 7 days
    • Time from a biopsy to a full lab report  - 3 days
    • Time from full diagnosis to beginning treatment - 17 days
