• Head & Neck Cancer

  • Head & Neck Cancer is a type of cancer that arises in the head or neck region (in the nasal cavity, sinuses, lips, mouth, salivary glands, throat, or larynx. At Penrose Cancer Center, our goals of treatment, besides curing, include retaining the patient's ability to speak, eat, smell and breathe in an acceptable manner. Achieving these goals requires the coordination of care between surgeons, radiation oncologists and medical oncologists, as well as support disciplines such as pathology, diagnostic radiology, dentistry, voice and swallowing therapists and care navigators.
