  • Billing and Insurance
Penrose Cancer Center is contracted to provide services for most but not all health plans. Please have your insurance information available when calling to make your first appointment.

If your insurance changes at anytime during your care, be sure to inform the front office staff and provide them with the new information.

Whether you are covered by Medicare, Medicare supplement, Medicaid or private health insurance, your policy is a contract between you and the insurance company. Penrose Cancer Center is not a party to that contract, and has no control over its terms.

Before your appointment, take a moment to review your personal health insurance coverage. Medicare and some other insurers have policies that limit payment on certain medical services. Due to these limitations, there may be instances when you are personally responsible for the cost of some medical services.  If you have questions about your coverage, please contact your insurance representative.

    Payment for Services and Co-pays
Most insurance plans require that we collect a co-pay at the time of service. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks or credit cards which include American Express, Visa, Discover and MasterCard for payment. You will be sent a bill for any remaining balance.

    Financial Counseling
A financial counselor is available to address any problems or concerns or simply help answer your questions. Depending on your income and needs you may qualify for foundation grants or pharmaceutical assistance programs.
