Prepare for your visit

Preparing for your cancer center consultation will help you make the most of each visit. Our staff may contact you in advance of your scheduled appointment with requests for key information, including records from prior tests and physician visits, diagnostic imaging, or biopsy slides. Sharing this crucial information in a timely manner will help you and your doctor better achieve your treatment goals.

In planning for treatment, we will request that you register as a Penrose Cancer Center patient, which includes furnishing your insurance information and card. You will also be asked to provide basic demographic and contact information at this time.

Before your first visit, it’s also helpful for you and your family to make notes about your specific questions and goals for the visit. If you will be meeting with Dr. Huff or Dr. Young, you may complete a medical oncology patient intake form  and bring it with you for the initial visit.  Please bring a complete list of medicines, including dosage information, to your appointment.
