Elly Peters |
Elly Peters has been an oncology nurse for 12 years. She has been certified (OCN) since 2001. She is a clinical nurse specialist with an emphasis in nurse education and in chronic illness. Most of her experience is in the inpatient arena, working with patients and families during inpatient admissions. She teaches a nationally-recognized certification class for nurses interested in administering chemotherapy, as well as other classes to nurses that are specific to cancer nursing.
Elly has been on the Weld County Relay for Life Board and has participated in Team in Training, running a 1/2 marathon to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation. She currently works as a nurse to support patients and their loved ones after treatment for cancer is complete.
Elly enjoys hiking in the summer and snowskiing in the winter with her husband and 2 boys. She also enjoys cooking and trying new healthy recipes.
